Naseem Khan
Principal Member of Technical Staff
Verizon
Naseem Khan, a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Verizon Labs, is responsible
for the softswitch architecture. His current work includes VoIP network
design, softswitch integration with FTTP, and strategy and architecture
development for the network migration to IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem).
He has more than 20 years of experience in the Telecom R & D in the
areas that include broadband networks, voice, data, and video networks,
network performance and simulation, reliability analysis, and network management.
Previously, he worked for companies including AT&T/Lucent Bell Labs,
Motorola, and Keane, Inc. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science with Master's
in EE, and has published more than 18 papers in technical journals, conference
proceedings, and standards.
