About MSFLeadership Elections

Elections are currently being held for the following MSF Leadership positions:

Five seats (5) on MSF Board of Directors (2-year terms)

Technical Committee Chairperson (1-year term)

Technical Committee Vice Chairperson (1-year term)

Marketing Awareness and Education Committee Chairperson (1-year term)

Marketing Awareness and Education Committee Vice Chairperson (1-year term)

  • Interoperability Working Group Chairperson (2-year term)

    Protocol & Control Working Group Chairperson (2-year term)

    Nomination statements for each candidate should be sent to Cindy Morgan (cmorgan@msforum.org) on or before Monday, March 26, 2007. Please see the positions listed below for information on how to nominate.

    Upon completion of nominations, written ballots will be distributed via email to all Primary and TC Voting Representatives on Tuesday, March 27, 2007. Each Principal Member company is allowed one vote. If you are a Voting Representative and will not able to cast your vote via email between March 27 and April 10, you can assign a proxy to vote for you by sending an email notice to Cindy Morgan (cmorgan@msforum.org) on or before April 3, 2007 with specification of who has been assigned your voting privilege. The MSF requires quorum (51%) for the vote to be considered valid.

    Election results for 2007 are anticipated to be complete and announced on April 11. The individuals elected will step into their new roles during the Annual Meeting on April 25.

    Please consider serving this highly motivated and innovative forum through a position on the MSF leadership team

    MSF Board of Director candidates must be employed by a MSF Principal Member. All open positions are two-year terms.  Director responsibilities include participation on bi-monthly teleconference meetings, participation in leading project related activities for the Forum and commitment to the success of the MSF.

    Committee Chair candidates must be employed by a MSF Principal Member. Each position is a one-year term. Committee chair responsibilities include managing forum committee, participating in BOD meetings, and committee leadership meetings, and ensuring road map and forum goals are being achieved.

    Committee Vice Chair candidates must be active MSF Members. Each position is a one-year term.  Committee vice chair responsibilities include serving with the committee chair as needed, conducting meetings in the absence of the committee chair, and taking minutes.

    Working Group Chair candidates must be active MSF Members. Each position is a two-year term.  Working Group chair responsibilities include managing working groups, creating meeting agendas, participating in leadership meetings, and ensuring road map deliverables are being achieved.

    Elections for Working Group Vice Chairpersons will take place during the Technical Committee meeting in Montreal April 24-26.
