Gordon Beith
Empirix

Gordon Beith joined Empirix in 2004, with responsibility for overseeing product development and management of the Hammer performance and load testing platforms. He also serves as the company's representative to engineering and interoperability groups including the IMS Forum and Multi-Service Forum. His extensive career includes over 25 years of work in telecommunications product management, hardware & software development, and related next-generation services areas. In addition to his work with Empirix, his background includes product, project, and account management positions for Spirent, Cisco, and Ericsson in global locations including North America, Europe, Australia, and China.

He received his BEE (Electronics) degree from Swinburne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia and received advanced technical and management training at the Australian Institute of Management, Melbourne, Australia; Ericsson Project Management Institute, Stockholm, Sweden; and Ashridge College, London, England.

Seamus Hourihan
Acme Packet

Mr. Hourihan brings over 20 years of experience to Acme Packet in executive management, marketing, product management and business development roles at voice over IP, IP and multiprotocol networking, web infrastructure and computer companies. Mr. Hourihan was the vice president of marketing for internetworking leader Wellfleet and, after its merger with Synoptics, at Bay Networks (now Nortel) for nearly seven years. During his tenure, annual revenue grew from $10 million to $2 billion and Inc. recognized Wellfleet as "America's Fastest Growing Company" for two consecutive years. Most recently, Mr. Hourihan was vice president of marketing for Pingtel, widely recognized as a leader in SIP products and technology. He also held management positions at Data General, MASSCOMP and Bright Tiger. He is the co-author of several internetworking guidebooks and numerous articles and holds an AB degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Babson College.

Andy Huckridge is Director, IMS Solutions Marketing at Spirent Communications, where he leads Spirent's IMS strategy for the NGN market. His responsibilities include business planning & market development. Andy has worked in the communications industry for 12 years including roles at Centile, Inc., and 8x8, Inc., where he was Director of Product Marketing, and has a broad background in defining and marketing products in the Semiconductor and IP Telephony space. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Surrey, England. Andy is active in various Forums including the Multi-Service Forum, where he is Chairperson of the Interoperability Working Group.

Bob Mandeville

Bob Mandeville has earned international renown as chief architect of the most challenging tests of enterprise and WAN technologies. His pioneering evaluations include the industry's first tests of gigabit Ethernet switches and ATM backbone switches. Mandeville is president and founder of Iometrix (San Francisco) a new testing laboratory dedicated to benchmarking emerging technologies like Metro Ethernet services, wireless LANs (WLANs), and storage networks. Iometrix also is committed to advancing industry testing standards.

Mandeville is the author of IETF RFCs 2285 and 2998, the specifications for switch testing. He also is Editor of Test Methods for the Metro Ethernet Forum Technical Committee. Before beginning his latest venture, Mandeville served as CEO and chairman of the board of CQOS, Inc., the manufacturer of an IP performance and quality of service measurement system for service provider networks. He also established European Network Laboratories (ENL, Paris), the authoritative source of independent testing in the communications industry. ENL's vendor-independent tests of internetworking equipment were published regularly in nine European countries, starting in 1991. Under Mandeville's direction, ENL executed major contracts with the World Health Organization (WHO), European Commission, Belgian government, and French Electricity Board, as well as several international financial institutions.

In 1994, Mandeville began a close association with Data Communications magazine, the prestigious global publication covering the business-technology market. ENL's groundbreaking test of seven major U.S. ISPs earned a coveted Computer Press Award in 1999. Mandeville also was principal speaker for Data Communications' worldwide seminar series for IT managers at Fortune 1,000 companies and Tier 1 service providers. As Director of Ethernet Projects at LightReading, the leading Web site for optical networking, Mandeville is chairing an international series of online and live seminars on Metro Ethernet and 802.11 Wireless Networking. He recently coordinated the Metro Ethernet Forum SuperDemo 2003 at SuperComm Atlanta, designing and implementing the largest Metro Ethernet interoperability demonstration, with equipment from 28 vendors. Mandeville is an active member of the IETF.

James McEachern

James McEachern has been a member of the MultiService Forum (MSF) since it was founded, participating in various technical and executive roles. He is currently on the editorial board, a member of the MSF Board of Directors, and MSF Vice President.

At Nortel, he is responsible for defining Carrier VoIP standards strategy. For the past 20 years he has been involved in network and product planning, with experience covering Optical networking, high-speed access (DSL, cable, and fiber), wireless, operations, VoIP, Data Networking, and Service Management. He has extensive experience working with North American and international operators, and for two years led Nortel's European Network Planning team. He holds three patents in Optical Networking.

Chanh Phung

MSF Interoperability Working Group Vice Chair
Chanh Phung, VP of Technology and Strategic Partnership at IP Unity, is responsible for technological and strategic initiaves within the company as well as with partners. He also serves as the chief architect, system engineer and product manager. Previously, he has held technical and managerial positions at Tekelec, Alcatel USA, DSC Communications and Nortel Networks. He has led and contributed to the development of many switching products: Media Gateway Controller, Broadband Access Server, Signaling Server, SONET Trunk Peripheral, Supernode Computing Module, and Enhanced Network (ENET).

Chanh holds an MBA in International Management from the University of Dallas, and a BE in Computer Engineering from Concordia University.

Olov Schelén

Dr Olov Schelén has 17 years of experience within IP networking. Olov received his Ph.D. in 1998 and he is a faculty member at the Computer Science and Networking group at Luleå University of Technology. His primary interests are in multi-media networking, QoS, routing, and mobility. Olov brings a unique understanding of multi-service IP networking and deployment of such networks.
Martin Taylor
MetaSwitch

Martin Taylor has spent over 20 years in the telecom and network equipment industries, with diverse experience in product marketing, engineering, technology planning and business development. Since joining MetaSwitch in 2004, he has been responsible for developing the company's IMS technology strategy and has also led key technology initiatives in hosted VoIP services, Web Services interfaces and Web portal evolution.

Martin's prior experience includes the role of founding CTO at CopperCom, where he was widely recognized as an early pioneer in Voice Over Broadband for his leadership of the ATM Forum standards work on Loop Emulation. In previous roles at Madge Networks and at Marconi, he was instrumental in significant business successes in areas such as Token Ring switching and passive optical networking.

Martin is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, England with a degree in Engineering. He enjoys skiing, golf, fly fishing and fine wine.

Venkatesh Seshasayee

Venkatesh has over 8 years of experience in the Telecom domain, with the last few years focused on Next Generation Network Technologies and Enablers, primarily IMS. His current role as Architect in the IP Multimedia involves adoption of SOA based architectures in IMS Application Frameworks. Venkatesh has contributed as co-author for IETF drafts in the SIGTRAN and SIPPING working groups. He has also authored papers presented in the ICIN conference (October 2004, May 2006). He is co-author of a IMS White Paper published in the Moriana Operator Guide to IMS V1.0 Report.

John Wullert

John is currently a Director in the Information Analysis and Services Research department at Telcordia Technologies, a company with a long history in operating telecommunications networks. His current research interests include protocols and interfaces for priority communications, as well as spoken control of visual information. John has 19 years of experience investigating various telecommunications-related topics, including communications services, education applications of communications technologies, information storage, optical computing and advanced information display technologies, about which he is co-author of the book Electronic Information Display Technologies, published in 1997. John is co-author of over 75 publications and inventor on 2 issued patents. John holds a Masters degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. from Rutgers University, both in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
