Company:
Fujitsu

Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe Ltd (http://www.fujitsu.com/uk/services/telecom) is a leading supplier of broadband access solutions in Europe. A preferred supplier for BT's 21st Century Network, Fujitsu's product strategy focuses on integrated solutions that bridge the technology divide between legacy and new access networks.

Fujitsu's market-leading Multi-Service Access Node (MSAN) technology, the GeoStream Access Gateway portfolio, provides a carrier-class platform for both fibre and copper terminations across a wide range of existing and next-generation services. At the core of GeoStream Access Gateway is the Hub 1000 - capable of supporting thousands of broadband users on a single ATM/Ethernet network interface. The modular, multi-service GeoStream Access Gateway Hub 1000 provides operators with the optimum cost-efficient technology, with which to build next generation networks. It offers a powerful combination of flexibility and scalability, with multi-layered potential for maximising revenue generation and cost savings. Key components include the Access Gateway sub-system and the Integrated Voice Line Card Sub-System - GeoStream Access Gateway IV-LCSS. Each IV-LCSS supports up to 64 subscriber lines of POTS and DSL traffic. When combined with the Access Gateway sub-system, it provides a fully H.248 compliant access gateway that allows operators to provide conventional telephony services as well as broadband, via a common integrated platform installed at a local exchange.
